Looking out the window

The water pouring down

A dreary day, no end in sight

Skies of gray, no sun today.



I sit in the window looking

but my inner eye is what I use

to see my hopes and dreams

Delights to my mind and soul.



Sun bright fields of color, moonlit oceans so deep

Sight filled cities, all safe, clean and free

World famous places and quiet country lanes

Happy people everywhere, lives without pain.



The rain still keeps falling

My heart is nonetheless light

My eyes are looking inward

On such rare and beautiful sights.
